Abstract (EN)

Poverty is that people do not have enough income to cover most or most of their daily basic needs. Today, poverty has become an international problem from a national problem. As a matter of fact, organizations such as the World Bank, United Nations and TURKSTAT have started to work on poverty. This study what is poverty, how to measure what the species and previously dealt with in poverty studies four countries that MİST countries known as Mexico, Indonesia, the poverty of some of the variables that affect South Korea and poverty using data obtained between the years 2002-2016 in Turkey with what dimension and in what direction and whether there are conflicting points with previous works. After the model is set up, our analysis first examines whether variables are stationary by Levin, Lin, Chu; Im, Pesaran and Shin and Fisher unit root tests were done. Tests were then applied to determine if our model had fixed effects, random effects, and a classic model. According to the results of the tests, diagnostic tests were made for the classical model and our analysis was interpreted as a classical model. Our analysis showed that although some variables, such as the post-mortem growth rate, were statistically insignificant, the expected effect was that the increases in the population growth rate tended to reduce poverty. In some variables such as public health expenditure, both statistically significant and expected effects have been shown and the increase in public health expenditures has resulted in a tendency to reduce poverty.
