ABSTRACTTHE EFFECT AND COMPARISON OF COMBINED USED OFMITOMYCINE-C WITH HYLAN-GF 20, MITOMYCINE C WITH HONEYAND HONEY WITH HYLAN-GF 20 ON THE DEVELOPMENT OFADHESION FORMATION IN LAPAROMIZED RATSPostoperative adhesions are stil unsolved important problems. Although thereare some studies and advancements in this issue, the incidence of adhesion formationhas been decreased but not totally solved. Some studies have been showed thatMitomycine, Hylan GF-20 and honey can decrease adhesion formation. This study;was planned to aim to compare the adhesion formation efffects of Mitomycin C withHylan GF-20, Mitomycin C with honey and Hylan GF-20 with honey combinationsin the laparotomized rats .Wistar-Albino 70 male rats, weight range between 180-220 gr, divided into 7groups. After abrasion formation in the rats' caecum wall and in the peritonealsurface at the localization of right lower quadrant of anterior abdominal wall; inGroup1 0.9% NaCl, in Group 2 Mitomycin C, in Group 3 Hylan GF-20, in Group 4honey, in Group 5 Mitomycin C with Hylan GF-20, in Group 6 Mitomycin C withhoney and in Group 7 Hylan GF-20 with honey were given intraperitoneally.There were statistically significant differences between control group and thestudy groups according to adhesion formation scala (p<0.001). In all groups thatagents were used adhesion formation was decreased, but when the groups comparingthe agents used, there was no statistically significant difference.2
