Abstract (EN)
Today, as the costs of treatment and labor loss caused by diseases have gained importance as much as mortality and morbidity caused by diseases, MAS is often interpreted as psychological origin and its effect on quality of life is a mechanism that is still under discussion. To determine and compare the effectiveness of exercise and kinesio. The study was carried out according to the diagnostic criteria of Travell and Simon who were registered to Dokuz Eylül Education Family Health Centers in İzmir province and applied to the policlinic between 18-60 years old, active myofascial trigger point and tense palpable band in neck and shoulder region. The first group included kinesiotape method; applied at the beginning of the week and continued for three days; was applied twice to rest one day between the applications. Kinesiotape was applied by inhibition technique according to Kenzo Kase method. Exercise given to the other group; daily, neutral position, cat-camel position, stretching of shoulder and back muscles, stretching and pelvic tilt movements should be done in the form was told. When kinesiotape and exercise group were evaluated with visual analog scale (VAS) and neck disability index; One week after the intervention, pain and limitation were decreased in both groups. However, the decline in the kinesyotape group is more pronounced; The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (p <0.001). When the participants were evaluated according to the arm, shoulder and hand problems questionnaire; One week after the intervention, there was a decrease in the mean daily limitation in both the kinesiotape group and the exercise group. Although the decrease in the kinesyo group was more pronounced, there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of arm, shoulder, hand problems questionnaire. One month after the intervention, according to the VAS assessment; There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of pain reduction in the kinesiotape group (p <0.001). In BDI and DASH averages; In the kinesotomy group, pain and limitation of movement were decreased while there was an increase in pain and limitation of movement in the exercise group. Therefore, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups according to the neck disability index and the arm and shoulder hand problems questionnaire (p <0.001). In other words, according to the results of our study, one week administration of kinesyotape therapy is not only effective in acute period, but also in chronic period. Exercise is an effective method for reducing pain and limitation of movement, but it is necessary to maintain continuity.
