Abstract (EN)
Known by the names of psychological abuse, intimidation, harassement, emotional lynch in organizations, mobbing is the unethical behaviors displayed in a systematic manner by one or more people aimed at another person. It is an issue which undermines organizational commitment of the person and can emerge the intention to leave of employment following the decrease in job performance, motivation, morale as a result of the behaviors that cause psychological, physical, emotional or sexual discomforts in the individual. Organizations themselves may get harmed, too in such cases. As it is a very delicate subject, many individuals keep the problem to themselves, and a kind of situation that might harm the whole community, notably themselves, might arise. In our research, we evaluated organizational justice, organizational commitment, decrease in job performance that will develop in the person in consequence of mobbing behaviors, and perception of intention to leave of employment as a result of it. Following our research conducted in state and private schools of Ministry of National Education in the Anatolian side of İstanbul Province, it has been concluded that mobbing behaviors have a strong connection with organizational justice and organizational commitment; as mobbing increases, organizational justice and organizational commitment decrease; correspondingly, job performance decreases and affects the rates of leave of employment dramatically. Those conclusions lead labour loss since mobbing behaviors affect the situation of the individual in his work environment and have a negative effect on his job performance. It is considerably important in this respect.
