Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to examine the relationship between mobile phone addiction and social skill on adolescents. The Research, within the borders of Istanbul on the European side, by random sampling method was carried out with a total of 315 high school students studying in selected Eyüp and Beyoglu district.The personal information form developed by researchers due to learn the demographics of the participating high school students to the study, mobile phone addiction measure in or-der Problematic Mobile Phone Use Inventory levels, the Social Skills Scale to measure social skills are used. The results obtained on descriptive (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Number of Elements), correlation (the relationship between variables), t-test, ANOVA, Tukey HSD analysis techniques applied and the results are interpreted. According to the research results; a statistically positive relationship have been found between social skills and mobile phone addiction. High school students are differentiated mo-bile phone to mobile phone ownership and use of mobile phones while scores of daily use ac-cording to the variables of time and scores of social skills.
