Caravan in the context of mobile housing and space design

This research, caravan life is approached through motion and mobile space design. The aim is to examine the caravan as mobile housing and to determine the needs that develop in the usage area of the space. In the first part; The purpose of the study,the research questions, the importance and scope of the study are included. In the second part, the concept of housing is examined in the international context and in the contect of the concept of housing in Turkey. In the same section, the subject of motion in the house is discussed. The process of transition from stagnation to motion and in this contex, mobile housing- micro housing concepts, mobile housing design principles, space and usage areas in mobile housing, historical process of caravan , international and Turkish caravan design are exained. In the third chapter, the research model and data collention are mentioned. In he fourth chapter, interviews with the cases that ara the subject of the research are share. In the fifth chapter, conclusions and recommendations are given. For this reason, the efficiency of the spatial organization is evaluated as a mobile housing and transportation vehicle. During the Covid 19 pandemic period, the caravan use of the users, the qualifications of the caravan designs and usage areas are examined. For this reason, 8 caravan users were reached and questions to be directed to the sample group were formed. Then, a structured interview form was applied to 10 different caravan users. The data obtained are the general of the participants; They are a travel companion, they also own a house, their employment status is generally above 10.000 TL, they have caravan experiences in the past, their spatial needs are met, various solutions are applied for daily needs, the amount of unanswered need is low, the caravan life and spatial design still create satisfaction. detected.
