Abstract (EN)
Multi purpose connectors which are applied on wooden furniture as a charac teristic of their constructions have added aim of using and function of those fur niture aslo advanced their effections of aesthetic, ergonomics and durability. It could be say that multi purpose connectors are widely used in furniture industry of countries with developed economies, on contrary, inadequaet neither using nor prodution in Turkey. In the present research have been selected and tested with varieties screw- nuts as a typical multi purpose connector on pine, beech and oak solid wood spe cies those are widely used in our furniture industry. Results indicate that screw-nuts which are produced in Technical Education Faculty of Gazi University have advantaged than screw-nuts which are bought from the market at least two times technicaly and economicly. Additionally, the test were carried out to result the withdrawal strength of sc rew-nut (S4) which is the optimum one on the radial section of pine wood, in mu tually influence of wood, nut and section of wood.
