The relevant period movies that effects Atılım University faculty of art, design and architecture, fashion & textile design student achievement in the teaching of fashion history

In this research, teaching the history of fashion through the related period movies in terms of the effect of the success of the srudent is investigated. Two groups are determined as experimental and control, in order to realize the thoughts about course, firstly, at the beginning and the end of the course an attitude scale is applied by the students of the course. Fort he control group, the subjects is thaught as traditional teaching method, instead for experimental group watched 2 movies Cleopatra and Toung Victoria wich won the ?Best Costume? Oscar in order to follow the course. At the beginning and the end of each unit, an achievement test applied to both groups. The research is based on the students who take the History of Fashion course in universities in Turkey. In this research, fort he sample Atilim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Departmant of Fashion and Textile Design 3rd and 4th grade students are analyzed.As a result of the research, the difference between the average of success the traditional education and education of watching the period of film is quite significant. Both in the attitude and achievement scales, the results are in favour of experimental group. The end of research, conclusion are based on the suggestions at the end of the research.
