Definition and aspects of composition in modern sculpture art and abstract art within the modern movements

The sculpture art, which has existed since prehistoric ages, varies among civilizations with its plastic style, due to result of its development in that particular era. In many periods, it is reflected and perceived differently depending on the cultural structure of societies. Until the middle of the 19th century, figurative and nature-based studies could be observed. As new materials got developed and explored due to the progression of the industry, the formal expression of the sculpture started to change. As artists moved on from the figure due to the rise of plastic elements, the process of abstract composition has started with deformations such as addition, subtraction, separation, deconstruction etc. In the first part of this research titled "Definition and Aspects of Composition in Modern Sculpture Art and Abstract Art within The Modern Movements" the definitions of the plastic elements are being stated with their descriptions that are seen in the form of sculpture and the plastic arts. In the second chapter, the use, the position and the changes of the composition during the historical process from the Sculpture Art to the Baroque Sculpture are being studied. In the third part of the research, how the elements of the composition are included in the abstract art, the definition of abstract and abstraction concepts and how the elements of the composition are developed and constructed in the abstract art movements within the modern movements are being examined.
