This work searches for the art of pictures relationship between erotism and nudity. Forming the shape of Modern Western Art is composed by analyzing social developments and history of art through searching for written resources.Now that the things which are observed in the nature can be a source of inspiration, humans questioning the existance through nudity, directing sexual impulses art and thus making it a topic has always seen in the history of art. Having taken a look at the history of civilization, statues of the Goddesses, mythological heroes, religious figures, princesses, or whores have always been depicted as naked and been a part of the universal culture. Since nudity turned out to be sexual confidentiality, it has taken a non-subjective form rather than becoming wide spread. On the otherhand; the naked in the modern art comes from everyday life and in the 20th century theim age of nudity went out of transmitting a certain topic and started to createit?s own style. The freedom of individual, accordingly the freedom of artist was the issue at that time and nudity in art became the out flowgrond against the moral, of the communty. The body become the serching area for the different disciplines and the consequences effected the approaches to the naked body. The body, which the people focused on the visuality, became the most important consumption supplies could be a phantasy. Body?s becoming free orrestricting is always done under the name of sexuality and the base of sexuality undertaken by nudity. Why nudity is perceived as an image of erotism is that not only human body is a nice object but also the association it makes is very rich.Nudity doesn?t cause an erotic perception by the naked body, it creates this idea by being in somewhere between nudity and dressedup. Since pornography displays sexuality and nudity with their wilde ststate, we can say that it doesn?t concern about aesthetical point. İt is not easy to draw the limits of the sedefinitions though.
