Abstract (EN)

The art of painting dating back to ancient times was perhaps tried to be made of necessity, or it was perhaps made for aestheticism and visuality. While the Modern Age, which was entered into through industrialization, brought more diverse products in daily life, painting artists could not keep themselves from using this diversity in their works of art. On the quite basis of this aim, the item, particle, and collage techniques that appeared in the history of art along with Cubism for the first time and left its mark on the 20th century are the subject of this thesis. In all of the research studies carried out on this subject by many people, it has been concluded that the place of collage in education is discussed but its effect on painting is not mentioned and the Turkish artists don't even use these tecniques enough. It has also been understood that the subject of transforming the space gradually into an art object through collage effect is not discussed much. In this study in which qualitative research methods were used, literature review was applied, descriptive method was used; and as a result of the evaluation of the data obtained, a case study (an assessment) was conducted. As a result, it has become evident that the collage technique emerged as an approach frequently used in Turkey and in different countries which are at the center of modern art.
