Abstract (EN)
The Jordanian Family Structure in the Modernization Process: Sociological Analysis of Changes and Transformations. The importance of the modern family structure in Jordan, shows itself in many areas, from gender equality to economic development, cultural diversity to family communication. Families with a modern mindset support the overall well-being and development of society by adapting to the requirements of the modern world in addition to traditional values. This transformation contributes to the social and economic structure of Jordan becoming more flexible, diverse and dynamic. Due to the lack of studies examining the family structure in Jordan in the modern period, this research aims to detect and identify changes and transformations in the Jordanian family structure. The research was created according to the quantitative research design and descriptive method was used. Since the research targets a wide and comprehensive community, statistical methods were used in the analysis and interpretation process. In the study, Jordanian families were targeted and one parent was selected from each family. A survey study was conducted with a total of 400 participants by using the stratified sampling technique. In order to address cultural and social differences in spatial dimension, research was conducted in three different cities located in the north, middle and south of the country. The research results show that there have been significant changes in the structure of the Jordanian family during the modernization process. According to the findings, Jordanian families who have a modern mindset listen to their children's problems and teach them to respect others. In addition, parents also try to give their children social skills such as communication and problem solving. However, the research has also revealed the effects of technology on the Jordanian family structure. With the introduction of technology into the Jordanian family, a third party has been involved in the socialization of children. Despite this, the widespread use of technology has not changed the depth of the relationship between parents and their children. Jordanian family members try to find a balance between the traditional family and the modern family. Although they are open to modernity and use modern educational methods, they also maintain their commitment to some traditions, customs and social values that they are familiar with as a society.
