Environmental pollution has become a global humanand environmental health problem, especially with increasing industrialization and the ever-increasing use of chemicals due to te global population, putting great pressure on the soil and water system. Removal of environmental pollution and remediation of polluted areas is still a topic of current interdisciplinary research. In conventional removal methods such as adsorption, flotation or membrane separation, which are frequently used in the literature, pollutants are transported from one phase to another. But in oxidation processes, which is a new, green and efficient removal method, organic pollutants are broken down into CO2 and H2O. In this way, ir is ensured that the polutants are completely eliminated. In this thesis, magnetite nanoparticles modified with Prussian blue were decorated on a multi-walled carbon anode. The obtained nanocomposite was characterized by SEM-EDX, XRD, FTIR methods and used as a heterogeneous catalyst in the degradation of phenol molecule, a well-known pollutant, by Photo-Fenton reaction. The conditions of the photo-fenton reaction (catalyst amount, pH, H2O2 concentration) were optimized. Under optimalconditions, it was observed that 100 mg L-1 of phenol was completely degraded in 15 minutes.
