Abstract (EN)

Electromechanical Unit Box, which fulfills a special task, is used in the field of defense industry. Electromechanical Unit Boxes fulfilling specific tasks are produced in various sizes according to varying requirements. According to the changing requirements, the modules used in the production of Electromechanical Unit Boxes and mounted inside and the variety of configurations of these modules have increased considerably. For this reason, it has become difficult to share the mechanical interfaces of the modules of various numbers of Electromechanical Unit Boxes. The need for the assembly interfaces of the Electromechanical Unit Boxes modules to be shared and transformed into a modular structure has emerged. In this study, Modular Electromechanical Unit (MEMB) design and optimization, which shares the assembly interface of Electromechanical Unit Boxes modules, has been carried out. Computer aided finite element analysis was used to determine the resistance of the designed MEMB against vibration load profiles defined in the MIL-STD-810G standard. In the analysis studies, it was first verified that the composite wheeled vehicle is resistant to vibration profile loads. MEMB mechanics have been lightened by 26% and the volume has been reduced by 18% in order to make MEMB products preferable over their equivalents. Afterwards, it has been verified with the improvements made gradually that it is resistant to the vibration profiles of 2 composite wheeled trailers defined in the MIL-STD-810G standard. MEMB, a new design, has been verified with calculations before production and environmental conditions tests. Therefore, possible damages that may arise during post-production tests and/or use, thus lost time and redesign labors are prevented.
