Özet (EN)
In this study, fifty samples of burn wound infections were included. Specimens were collected from patients who were staying in hospitals with severe burn wounds during the period from October 2020 to February 2021, and specimens were taken from Al-Shaheed Ghazi Al-Hariri Hospital and the Specialized Burns Hospital in Iraq/Baghdad. Specific culture media, microscopic examination, and biochemical tests were used to identify the bacterial agents. The data was statistically analyzed by using the SPSS, version 23. The results showed 64 bacterial isolates, which were S. aureus 18 (28.0%), S. epidermidis 5 (8.0%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa 14 (22.0%), Klebsiella pneumoniae 15 (23.4%), Escherichia coli 6 (9.4%), Acinetobacter baumannii 3 (4.7%), S. pseudintermedius 1 (1.5%), S. chromogenes 1 (1.5%), and S. haemolyticus 1 (1.5%). From S. aureus isolates, while 2 (11.1%) strains showed moderate to producing biofilm and 7 (38.9%) strains showed weak biofilm formation, 9 (50.0%) showed nostrains, non-biofilm formation. PCR technology was used to detect icaA, icaB, icaC, and icaD genes, and the results of molecular examination of the prevalence of these genes were icaA 11 (61.1%), icaB 13 (72.2%), icaC 9 (50.0%) and icaD 9 (50.0%).
