Abstract (EN)
In this study for 125I brachytherapy seed sources, the influence of phantom dimensions ondose values were calculated by using a number of cubic water phantoms with variable sidelengths. In each calculation, the source was positioned at the center of the phantom. Two differentseed models were used. Namely, Amersham 6711 OncoSeed and Imagyn IsoSTAR. In addition,the source was translated from 1 to 4 cm along both long axis and transverse axis of the source inorder to calculate the variation of dose at selected points in the phantom.Dose values were calculated by using EGSnrc Monte Carlo code. The geometries of 125Iseeds and surrounding medium were modeled by using Yegin's multi-geometry package.125Keywords : Brachytherapy, Multi-geometry teknique, EGSnrc, I, Monte Carlo.
