Abstract (EN)
Mushrooms in the genus Morchella are known as 'Morels Mushroom' in our country. Morel Mushrooms are medicinal, gastronomically and economically important macrofungi. In our study, the cytotoxicity, anticarcinogen and antimicrobial effects of methanol extracts of Morchella importuna and its cultured mycelium were investigated in vitro. Cultured mycelium was produced from natural fungus by tissue culture technique. The cytotoxicity study of the samples was performed on the L-929 mouse fibroblast cell line with the WST-1 protocol. The anticarcinogen effect was studied in a cell line isolated from the ovary of a 64-year-old female patient with the CCK-8 protocol. The antimicrobial effect of methanol extracts of M. importuna and its cultured mycelium was investigated using the disc diffusion method with selected test microorganisms. As a result of our study, methanol extracts obtained from M. impotuna and its cultured mycelium did not show cytotoxic effect on L929 healthy mouse fibroblast cell line but showed toxic effect on ovarian cancer cell lines. In addition, the samples; It was determined that the SE1 extract had antimicrobial activity against all tested bacteria.
