Usablty of mixtures of motorine and sesame oil in diesel engine

Moreover, that exhaust emissions which are discarded as a result of combustion of petrol products are to be lessened, and because of the standarts developed for the air pollution control, the efforts related with the improvement of alternative fuels have gained a great speed. Among these studings, as they are renewable, and their energies are close to diesel fuels, and their emission rates are relatively low, and because of such specifications, the opportunities of using the vegetable oil as fuel in diesel engines have been searched. In this study, alternative to diesel engine fuel sesame oil has been searched. For this purpose, motorine and the mixture of sesame oil with motorine at the rates of % 25, % 50 and % 75 has been used as fuel in a direct injected diesel motor of four stroke and single cylinder which is Lombardini brand of 6 LD 400 model, and the effects on engine performance, exhaust emissions and engine elements have been examined in comparison with motorine. The result of the investigation; for the rates of motorine and sesame oil that are used in the experiments have shown that these mixtures can be used as fuel without making any changes in the structure of engine.
