Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, by measurements performed in a determined time, it was aimed to determine negative affects of noise pollution stemming from motor vehicles in a pilot area which locates in Ankara Celal Bayar Avenue, in the buildings of Gazi University Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Architecture. In order to have a proper evaluation, constant and detailed measurements were performed in a way that will form a time-series. These measurements were performed generally not to determine noise pollution but to explain noise pollution especially caused by motor vehicles. Also in the chosen environment, a survey was carried out to determine the situation of people who were long term or a particular time exposed to mentioned traffic noise. By assesing the results, proposals for solution were given to reduce noise pollution caused by motor vehicles.Key Words : Noise Pollution, Motor Vehicle, Noise
