The effect of material damaged traffic accidents of motor land vehicles on country economy

According to the Turkey Statistical Institute data, the number of vehicles in our country has exceeded 22 million. The high number of vehicles brings many problems in transportation. The most important of these are death, injury and property damage involving vehicles. According to TUIK data, a total of 1 230 000 accidents occurred in 2018. Traffic accidents cause large amounts of economic losses besides deaths and injuries. Data about traffic accidents and calculated statistics give general information about traffic accidents. However, evaluating traffic accidents separately due to their damages is more important because the magnitude of the damages caused by traffic accidents differs. The cost of traffic accidents that occur in Turkey passes 39 billion Turkish Lira. This amount is largely affected because of Turkey's current deficit in trade. To date, there is no study on the impact of imported parts that should be replaced after traffic accidents on the current account deficit. In our study, taking into account all these deficiencies and unfortunate events, it presents new data in terms of accuracy, consistency and scientificness of future accident analyzes based on cost.
