Abstract (EN)

Objective: We aimed to investigate the relationship between MPV value and neutrophile/lymphocyte ratio and postoperative pain level in patients who underwent total knee replacement. Method: 100 patients were included in the study. Demographic data (age, height, weight, gender), comorbidities, drugs used, anesthesia method and drugs used, duration of surgery and anesthesia, tourniquet duration, intraoperative blood products and amount of fluid were recorded. Control hemogram and biochemistry levels were observed and recorded in the preoperative and postoperative periods. All complications in the first 24 hours were recorded. Patients were divided into 4 groups according to VAS scores and anesthesia method. VAS scores and analgesic drugs used were recorded at 1., 6., 12. and 24. hours. Results: 27 of the patients were male and 73 were female, and 27 patients underwent spinal anesthesia and 73 patients underwent general anesthesia. The most common postoperative complaints were nausea, vomiting, headache and dizziness, respectively. While nausea and vomiting were common in the general anesthesia group, the incidence of headache was higher in the spinal anesthesia group. Conclusion: Effective post-operative analgesia is very important to reduce endocrine, metabolic, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal complications in operations with high pain scores such as TKR. With neuraxial anesthesia, it is possible to reduce opioid consumption and decrease the incidence of opioid-related side effects. It may be possible to predict post-operative pain level and create an effective analgesia plan with preoperative high NLR. Key Words: MPV, TKR, NLR, Postoperative Analgesia
