Abstract (EN)
Nowadays active sport has became routine activity for both getting away from daily life stress and physical health from all social classes of people. Thailand originated Muay Thai is performed in many parts of our country. As performance sports practiced in high level of intensity and this causes certain instabilities. Oxidative stress is one of them. Purpose of this study is to examine at least four years experienced, who live above 1750 meters altitude and internationally medal winner Muay Thai Sportsmen's' oxidative stress created by kinds of reactive oxygen and as a defending system antioxidative enzyme levels. In this study 14 Muay Thai Sportsmen and 14 healthy people control groups' rbc values are compared in CAT, GSH and MDA. In CAT activity there were significant difference in Muay Thai sportsmen group than Healthy control group (p0,001). Statistically Muay Tahi sportsmen CAT values were significantly higher than Healthy control group. In GSH activity there were no significant difference between Muay Thai Sportsmen group and Healthy control group in means of statistic (p=0,541). In MDA activity there couldn't been found significant difference MDA values between MuayThai Sportsmen group and Healthy control group in means of statistic(p=0,150). Results are statistically assessed in the light of datas in literature. In our study, MDA level which is an indicator of lipid peroxidation compared to healthy control group and nominal difference has been found. High level of Catalase (CAT) which provides defense against free radicals is an antioxidant and nominal level of Glutathione (GSH), in living system ROS forming high level of MDA is thought to be directly affect enzymes in exercise. Insignificant difference between MDA and GSH levels may be resulted from high level of CAT activity. In this thesis general knowladge is presented about Muay Thai and result of excessive molecular oxygen instability oxidative stress development in sportsmen and products of ROS are mentioned. In the same time removing ROS formations and to lessen as much as possible oxidative deformation body's' defending system antioxidative enzymes are mentioned as well.
