The Knowledge and attitudes about "classical guitar" of students of Mugla University

Prof. Dr. Sadık YÖNDEMJune, 2006, XIV + 86 PagesThis investigation paper prepared for ? classical guitar ? knowledge, toconsideration of attitude and educational also social factors of Muğla Universitystudents.The questionnaire prepared for the students knowledge about ? classicalguitar ? and the consideration of the attitude also investigate of the diagnostic factors.The questionnaire applicated on between the 17 and 30 ages students. This groupstudents average age is 21 and contained 182 man and 118 women, total 300students. Average, frequency and percentage tables were prepared from obtaineddata and their analyses were made.The obtained data and the results of analysis showed that the universitystudents were generally positive attitude to classical music, but the usage of theguitar was more positive in the pop music according to usage of the classicalmusic. However, they weren?t enough well-informed usage of the guitar inclassical music and they were accepted the classical guitar as a musical instrumentmore used in the pop music. Furthermore, this investigation showed that thegeneral music education was not enough their formerly educational institutionaccording to their expressions and they explained that to play guitar possibilitieswere insufficient.According to this results, to give an importance and the intensify of thegeneral music training of the institutional education also has been proposed toinspection and to be supported of the widespread institutional educations. Inaddition, to determine of the music and usage of the musical instrumentknowledge level of the people and emphasized of the necessity of to remove of thedeficiency in the countrywide.Key Words : Guitar, classical guitar, guitar education, music, musicaleducation, classical music, pop music.
