After economical depression appeared at the West by the collapse of Americanstock markets in 1929, a new approach to the human problem has come out especially inFrance. According to the owner of this approach Emmanuel Mounier (1905-1950);materialists forget material life?s spiritual side and spiritualists forget spiritual life?smaterial side either. The sight, which appeared by the compromising effect ofmaterialism and spiritualism named Personalisme.Muhammed Aziz Lahbabi (1922-1993) who has been effected from this trend butnever been an imitation or representer, tried to explain this ideas with the characteristic ofEastern culture is noticeable philosopher either in respect of Personalisme or Philosophyhistory. In this thesis, Lahbabi?s philosophy has been taken up especially about freedomproblem.Lahbabi whose books have been translated into many language of the world.(French, English, Russian, Chinese and Arabic) has only two books translated into ourlanguage (?slâm?s individuality, Culture and civilization from obscure to naked). Thisstudy has been carried out over the copy of Arabic written book in the name of MinalHürriyet ?lattaharrur which has not been translated into Turkish and French written in thename of Liberté ou Libération (1956).Lahbabi?s philosophy is a reaction to the abstraction of soil and resistance to theauthority of Capitalism. He is against to the systems commanding and preventingfreedom such as Fascism, communism and concepts seen at the global Capitalism.Against these concepts Lahbabi places freedom and liberty what is coming next.Especially he dwells upon special concept: liberty instead of freedom. Because freedomis generally without abode. Liberty is dynamic. An action. Historical action and an actionwhich is changing conditions. Individual freedom is ; accepting own presence andrealizing own.In our country, freedom concept discussed and evaluated mostly by the theist andatheist existentialist philosophers. With this study it is aimed to take attention taking upfreedom by the Personalisme?s sight , frame of especially frame of Lahbabi?s ideasnamed Personalisme of ?slâm.
