Özet (EN)

ABSTRACT Muhammed bin Abdurrahman wrote his "Şerāyiṭü'l-İslam" which was prepared as his master thesis in February 1594. The work reflects the characteristics of Classical Ottoman Turkish period and Old Anatolian Turkish period in terms of language features. The author of the catechism has stated that he wrote his work Türkçe so that everyone can read it Türkçe in Turkish and it seems that the work was written in a simple and understandable language for this purpose. Because of these features, the work has rich structures and units in terms of Turkish language. The verses and hadiths are written in Arabic and the explanations are in plain Turkish. The work, which consists of 90 sheets in total, was transcribed with page and line numbers. In the grammar section, spelling, sound changes, morphology, word types, word groups, sentence and verb conjugation were examined in detail. In terms of structure, Arabic and Persian expressions were excluded from the examination in accordance with tradition. Especially when giving meaning to words, the usage of words in the text was taken into consideration. Some features such as the tendency of rounding in celebrities and some annexes appearing only as flat and some annexes appearing as round only show that the features of Old Anatolian Turkish continue in the text. Considering these aspects, the work is important for Turkish culture and Turkish language. Keywords: Classical Ottoman Turkish, Old Anatolian Turkish, Şerāyiṭü'l-İslam Muhammad bin 'Abdurrahman…
