Munāsabāt al-Qur'ān in the work of Mohammad Abū Zahra titled Zahrat al-Tafāseer

In the study, the wisdom of the Qur'anic order being revelation- derived and the holistic approach to the Qur'ān are presented to the reader's attention with the example of Zahrat al-tafâseer. While examining the methodology of the munāsabāt al-Qur'ān, the criteria determined by the previous commentators were taken into consideration; at this point, the ancient tafsir corpus, the works of uloom al-Qur'ān and the academic studies on the subject were utilized. At this point, the exegete's methodology on munāsabāt al-Qur'ān and the types of munāsabat he used were tried to be revealed. As a result, it is seen that Abū Zahra deals with the science of munāsabāt al-Qur'ān in his tafsīr. The fact that the commentary contains only twenty-seven surahs did not allow for a detailed examination of the munāsabat between surahs. Nevertheless, it has been observed that the commentator provides examples to cover almost every aspect of the methodology determined by the previous commentators on the relationship between the suras. On the other hand, the subject of the relationship between verses is dealt with in much more detail in the tafsīr. At this point, the sciences of siyāq and Arabic language and literature were utilized the most. In the tafsīr, which includes many types of munāsabat, the wisdom in the arrangement of the verses was tried to be revealed; thus, both a holistic understanding of the Qur'ān and a richness of interpretation were provided. At this point, a systematic approach was followed from the specific to the general; first, the unity of the verse within itself, then its unity within the sūrah, and then its unity within the Qur'ān was revealed. The situation that emerged as a result of this process affected the world of thought of the commentator; sometimes he put forward a new view with the science of munāsabat and sometimes he preferred one of the different views.
