The conception of ego in philosophy of Mohammad İkbal? (An analysis in terms of philosophy of mind)

In the first chapter of our study which makes up there main chapters , we handled Philosophy of Mind in terms of being a intellectual base for our topic, the known approaches of this new branch of philosophy and its fundamental conceptions. Our goal in this chapter is to give information about Philosophy of Mind being a young philosophy branch and to display our method for providing required conceptions, thoughts and informations in the process of analysis of Iqbal?s conception of ego.In the second chapter of our thesis, we handled the relation of the conception of ego with God, the idea of organic individual on which Iqbal emphasizes continuously, also, provided evidences to existence of God and Iqbal?s idea of that religious experiment proof to the idea of organic individual and to the idea of existence of God. Thus, we tried to explain that Iqbal uses the conception of ego not only for human but also for universe, God and all creatures. After that, we gave an advance information about Iqbal?s insight of human.In the third chapter of our study, we tried to explain that other definitions of the conception of ego to which Iqbal imputes importence and an analysis in the format that Iqbal emphasizes. After that, variety extentions of Iqbal?s conception of ego and assumed that self-existed immortality of ego, freedom of human and of which relations with ego and being how important for ego?s explaning a meaning, when soul - body relation is point at issue, how the conception of ego has its integrity and, in the knowledge of its own existence, how the ego formed a new integrity by merging with society.In the second part of this chapter, we had effort to handle that Iqbal?s conception of ego?s corresponding approximate expression in Philosophy of Mind and various properties which has clarified with approaches in Philosophy of Mind and how Iqbal accepted the ego as not able to be reduced integrity with all its extentions and particularities and his consideration of organic ego having been provided as solution to have this integrity.
