A research about the determination of education preferences according to the learning style of the students who take accounting lesson: Gumushane University example

In the research, considering the different personal characteristics of the students, for quick, easy and permanent in formation in accounting learning and teaching,the aim of this course is to determine the most appropriate learning style preferences of students. The study was conducted in 2018-2019 academic year with the number of students who took accounting education in Gümüşhane University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. In the study, Kolb Learning Style Inventory was used to determine the learning styles of the students. Learning styles in this inventory. It is divided into four groups as modifier, assimilator, parser, and insertor. These styles have been evaluated in the context of student studying accounting. The data obtained from the surveys were analyzed with SPSS 20 program and the results were evaluated. It is seen that the majority of the students studying at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Gumushane University have a distinctive learning style.
