Abstract (EN)
Self-efficacy is one's own belief in the individual's ability to cope with different situations, his ability to achieve a certain activity, and his capacity. Teacher is the person who helped others to grow up and develop in knowledge, manners and experiences and certain branches and fields. It can be stated from the items in the training process that the teacher plays an important role in achieving the intended outcome of the education. In this context, the emphasis on the level of self-efficacy that the teacher has and the effects appear as a factor to be examined. In this study, it was aimed to conduct a field research on the determinants of the self-efficacy levels of accounting teachers working in various vocational high schools, especially in trade vocational schools in Turkey. A survey-based study was conducted to achieve this aim. The "Teacher Self-Efficacy Scale", valid and reliable, was used by Çapa, Çakıroğlu and Sarıkaya (2005) developed by Tschannen-Moran and Woolfolk Hoy (2001). The researcher's universe constitutes a total of 4.667 accounting teachers. The sample of the study was 774 accounting teachers with proportional stratification. Analysis of the data was performed by t test and ANOVA. As a result of the research, it was determined that the self-efficacy levels of accounting teachers were high in terms of gender, age, seniority, education level and graduate faculty variables in a field research on the main determinants. Keywords: Self-efficacy, education, accounting, teaching
