Abstract (EN)

From Mühendishane-ı Bahri-ı Hümayun II. 19 With research on Education and New Educational Institutions of the Ottoman Period of Westernization until the Constitutional Monarchy". the modern new educational institutions created in the Ottoman Empire in the century were mentioned and educational activities were included. The main purpose of our research is 19. it is to consider what needs the new educational institutions in the Ottoman Empire were established based on in the century, what their qualities are. I. From the period of Abdulhamid I. In the December period until the end of the Constitutional Period, there have been significant developments in the field of education. In this century, when the general education of the state remained far from civilized and modern, inadequate to meet the needs of the era, breakthroughs were made in the direction of modernization, and these initiatives were implemented in the 19th century. it has gained momentum since the century. Chronological order was taken into consideration when introducing the schools established for this purpose. The general purpose of this study is I. From the period of Abdulhamid II. It is to ensure that schools opened before the constitutional period are examined in terms of modernization. The 19th of the Ottoman Empire. it is also desired to examine the century-long westernization process from the point of view of educational institutions. Educational institutions opened in previous years have many contributions to educational institutions opened in later periods. II. The Mekteb-i Harbiye-i Şahane (1835), which was opened during the reign of Mahmud, continues its education today under the name of the Black Military Academy within the National Defense University. Apart from that, the Mekteb-i Mülkiye-i Şahane (1858), which was founded during the reign of Sultan Abdulmecid, is the basis of the Ankara Faculty of Political Sciences today. These educational institutions, given as an example, continue their educational activities today.
