Abstract (EN)
İbnu'l-Arabi was criticized because of some of his discourses in his work called Fütuhât and Fusûsu'l-Hikem, and he was even said to be a disbeliever. In this thesis, the criticisms and defenses against Ibn Arabi are discussed. Ibnu'l-Arabi, who is one of the very important names in the maturation of the Ottoman tradition, seems to have around two hundred and fifty works that have survived to the present day. His known that his works are widely read and discussed in the lore and scientific community. In addition, Ibnu'l-Arabi has long poems due to his many sources of inspiration. It is seen that Ibnu'l-Arabi is one of the Sufis who wrote a lot of poetry in the Ottoman poetry tradition. While those with opposite views wrote refutations to criticize Ibn 'Arabi, his supporters wrote articles and fatwas to defend him. It is seen that these written fatwas were written with the aim of adopting Ibn 'Arabi, that is, in order to spread his thoughts and ideas in another sense. Almost all the ideas of Ibnu'l-Arabi on the theory of vahdet-i vücûd, especially Ibn Taymiyya, who came from the Salafi tradition, have been criticized. In this study, first of all, Ibnu'l-Arabi's life story is mentioned briefly. Afterwards, especially the concept of unity of existence, Ibnu'l-Arabi's "morality view", "guardianship-prophecy view", "Abraham's approach to his dream", "the state of the people of hell", "worship of idols", Fundamental ideas and thoughts such as "Pharaoh's faith" and "notifying about the unseen" were briefly conveyed. Afterwards, those who accused and defended Ibnu'l-Arabi were discussed and the thesis was concluded.
