Özet (EN)
The purpose of this study is to analyze the interaction between perfectionism and job performance in kitchens with the sampling of middle level managers. The hypothesis have been revealed assuming that the job performance of middle managers in a kitchen area has been affected due to perceiving themselves unqualified, setting themselves very high standards, having perfectionist attitudes towards others and the same attitudes imposed on others. These hypothesis have also been analyzed and supported by the literature.Perfectionism and job performance are multi-dimensional concepts that have been displayed in recent years by the psychology scholars via many qualified studies. Nevertheless, there is a limited number of research on the affects of perfectionism on work life and job performance, in this sense it can be considered as the initial unique study in tourism administration and management. The interaction between the job performance concept and perfectionism that have been frequently revealed by the social psychology researchers and organizational behavior scholars, is studied by putting major emphasis on the case of Turkey specifically. In this perspective, judgemental sampling and survey management techniques have been used and applied on middle managers in hotel kitchen areas. The remarkable finding derived from this study is that a new factor has been reached under the name of ?perfectionistic expectations?. Research findings clearly imply that; kitchen area middle managers? perfectionistic expectations and other oriented perfectionism have effects on task and institutional performance yet it has also been found that the interaction among variables are low. In the concluding part of the thesis, the findings are discussed in more details. Keywords: Perfectionism, Job Performance, Kitchen Area Managers.
