Abstract (EN)

Aim: This study was conducted to analyze the sexual life experiences of refugees women. Material and Method: The research was conducted in a phenomenological design based on qualitative research designs. The research was conducted in a field where refugees live in Mardin province between 01.10.2022-01.11.2022. The research was conducted with 33 refugee women, determined by a purposive random sampling method. The research was terminated after data saturation was reached."Personal Information Form" and "Semi-structured Interview Form" were used to collect the data. Qualitative data evaluation was made using the theoretical thematic analysis approach. Results: In the analysis of the data, it was determined that there were five main themes. and 12 sub-themes in the sexual life experiences of refugee women. These themes were defined as the time of first sexual experience, sexual experience desire status, the reason for forced sexual intercourse within marriage, the effect of migration on sexual life, and factors affecting sexual health. Conclusion: As a result of this study, it was determined that refugee women were exposed to many difficulties during the migration process, and in the country of asylum, these difficulties negatively affected their sexual and reproductive health, and they could not benefit from health services sufficiently. Women's health nurses should identify the needs of refugee women and plan and implement appropriate interventions to protect, develop, and improve their sexual and reproductive health.
