Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study; Muş and Bingöl province medical waste management plans have been examined with in the frame work of there vised Medical Waste Control Regulation in 2017, according to the years of process from medical waste production to disposal. The applications of medical wastes in the case of disposal or transportation of the wastes, the operation and management of the machines and equipmentsused in the existing facilitiesare mentioned. The population of the Eastern Anatolia region, the economic and social closeness of Muş and Bingöl are comparedac cording to the years of medical waste quantities and the number of medical waste producers. Medical waste management, which is integrated with the medical waste sterilization facilities established by the existing ones in their own bodies, has been evaluated from the amount of medical waste disposal in the Erzurum province by transportation from the wild storage areas. Medical waste management of Muş and Bingöl provinces has been observed according to years and the amount of annual medical waste disposal by sterilization process has been followed regularly and application error shave been seen in the transition to sterilization and disposal management. It is thought that the main reason for the results is the application differences in the management of medical waste in these provinces according to years. When the waste management of Muş and Bingöl is analyzed according to years, the disposal of medical wastes at the sterilization facility where the waste is present is determined; it has been observed that the amount of waste generated is more advantageous in terms of the on-site monitoring of the waste transport route and the applicability of waste generators' waste management with in the unit.
