The source of music and in the effects on human: Behcetü'r-Rûh example

In the past periods of the Islamic civilization, one of the best ways to understand what kind of musical concept is dominated that has no doubt is examining the written source materials for that time. Theoretics of music, the effects of music on human, what kind of music instruments were used kinds of subjects are oftenly showing itself in that materials. Although at the same time these topics are inform us about the social, cultural and economic life of the period besides musical subjects. In this study, we aimed to examine the work named Behcetü'r-Rûh, which is thought to belong to the 17th century, in terms of the source of music and its effects on human beings. In addition, we believe that this study will be beneficial in terms of introducing the work named Behcetü'r-Rûh and bringing many important information it contains to the music literature in our country.
