Abstract (EN)

In divine religions, prophecy is regarded as one of the bases of belief. Considering the religion of Islam in particular, the emphasis on belief in the prophets is frequently made, and obedience to the prophets is mentioned together with obedience to Allah. In various sources introducing the religion of Islam, it is revealed that belief in the prophet is one of the factors that shape the religious life and perception of religion of a Muslim individual. On this regard, the best guidance on how to live the religion of Islam is led by Prophet Muhammad. In the study, Hz. Muhammad's role in the life of a Muslim individual is being investigated. For this purpose, qualitative research method and phenomenological approach were preferred in order to contribute to the in-depth understanding of the subjective thoughts and experiences of Muslim individuals. First, in the conceptual framework section, the prophethood is emphasized, and then the issues related to the Islamic prophet are included. Interviews were held with 20 participants on the subject and a semi-structured interview form was used during the interviews. The obtained data were subjected to descriptive and content analysis and evaluated within six themes. Based on the views and experiences of the participants, it has been found that Hz. Muhammad is an important role-model for Muslims, and Muslims try to include him in their individual and social lives. Although the participants had differing opinions on the concept of the prophet and the sunnah, Hz. Muhammad's love is thought to have a unifying aspect.
