Determination of the nutritional status of some pear growing in the district of Mustafakemalpaşa by soil, plant and fruit analysis

Abstract (EN)

In the study; It is aimed to determine the nutritional status of some pear growing orchards in Mustafakemalpaşa district of Bursa province by soil, plant and fruit analysis. In addition to soil samples taken from 0-30, 30-60 and 60-90 cm depths from five pear orchards in different locations in Mustafakemalpaşa district in April before vegetation and in November after vegetation, there are some important studies on leaves from trees in July and fruit samples during harvest. component analyzes were made. The values obtained from the results of soil, leaf and fruit analysis were evaluated by comparing them with the values given on the subject, the nutritional status of the plants was evaluated and the nutritional problems of the gardens used as study material were tried to be determined. In line with the findings reached at the end of the study, it was determined that the soil samples taken from the orchards where pear cultivation was carried out in the Mustafakemalpaşa region were generally classified as calcareous, medium textured and slightly salty. The pH values of the soil samples were 7.73-7.88-8.19, respectively, before vegetation at three different depths; after vegetation, it was determined as 8.01-8.20 and 8.38. Organic matter values were 1.55, 0.93, 0.45 before vegetation and 2.46%, 2.38 and 2.19% after vegetation, respectively. It was observed that the average Na, P, K, Ca and B contents of the soils at a depth of 0-30 cm were 112.96, 22.87, 4877, 5.28 mg kg-1, respectively, before vegetation. It was determined as 139.03, 15.52, 322.73, 6391, 6.38 mg kg-1 after vegetation. The mean, Na, P, K, Ca and B values of the leaf samples were determined as 0.07, 0.13, 0.85, 1.85 and 315.53 mg kg-1, respectively. Na contents of fruit samples were determined as 0.72 mg kg-1, P, K and Ca contents as 0.07 mg kg-1 and B values as 36.29 mg kg-1. As a result of the study; It was observed that the producers in the region produced pears unconsciously, followed a fertilization program that was not made according to soil analysis, and did not use fertilizer types suitable for soil properties. It has been concluded that if the production continues in this way, plant nutrition problems due to unbalanced fertilization may increase and decrease in yield may occur in these products grown in the region.
