Relationship between alternate bearing and levels of hormones, carbonhydrate and plant nutrients on some pistacia cultivars bearing complete or rational alternately

Prof. Yusuf NİKPEYMA In this study, relationship between plant nutrients, endogen hormones and carbonhydrates and reasons of bud abscission have been researched on Uzun (Pistacia vera var.Uzun) which bears complete alternate and Siirt (Pistacia vera var. Siirt) and Ohadi (Pistacia vera var. Ohadi) cultivars which bear rational alternate. The study have been carried out on 25 years old trees in Pistachio Research Institue in Gaziantep in 2000, 2001 and 2002 years.The research has done both ırragated and unirragated conditions. The orchard is an ırragated orchard after planting which ırragatıon haven't done in some parts in reserch years. According the results of the research N, P, Ca, Mg, Fe, Zn, Cu and Mn levels are higher in "On" years and K was low in leaves, P and Mn were high, N, Mg, Fe. Zn and Cu levels were low in fruits. Levels of total and reduced sugar were low in both fruits and leaves. In "On" year level of IAA and GA3 were high but ABA level was low in floral buds. The results are similar in Uzun cultîvar According the correlations, there isn't relation between N level in leaves with bud abscission but negative correlation in total and reduced sugar in leaves and ABA level in floral buds and pozitif correlation IAA and GA3 in floral buds. At the same time there is negative correlation between ABA level with IAA and GA3 levels in floral buds. Key Words: Pistacia, Alternate Bearing, Carbonhydrate, Hormones, Plant Nutrients n
