Özet (EN)

Child literature in our country had shown a big progress in the Republic Period. Firstly, ?child? had thought as a ?person? and the books were prepared according to interests, imagination and level of children.M.İzgü , firstly wrote in black humor style, then he had tented to child literature and he?s aimed to laugh children. In his books, some values like love, sharing and self-sacrifice are given with our culturel values.?Family? and ?child? concepts are important in his books. İzgü tries to reflect the real life and tries to give some values to children by the family concept. In ?The Unbeliveable Adventures of My Grandmother? series,?family? is important. In the stories a Turkish family is told and the people and the events are similar to real life. The traditions and cultural legacy of Turkish people are given. Family members are close to each other and the messages in the series, are both for children and parents.The basic aims of this research are; exhibiting how İzgü deals with the ?family? concept, messages he gives in the series and the effects of the messages to child development. First of all, the literature and 78 stories in the series have been investigated for this qualitative research. The events and family relationships have been considered and the ?family? concept in the series and it?s effects on children have been determined. Finally, some consequences have been got and some suggestions have been given.
