Appropriateness of Muzaffer İzgü's children novels on the point of theme, pedagogical messages and style for children at the age of 10-12.

Children begin to read literature works when they are between the 10-12 years old and from the point of the children?s cognitive, emotional and psycokinetic growth the curriculum of literature works are in the form of supportive characteristic. Before icluding these literature works into the education process, they need to be researched on the ıssue of the appropriateness of these works to the children?s level.In this case, the man aim of the thesis to find an answer to these questions: a) Are the Muzaffer ?zgü?s novels ? with in the point of to theme, pedagogical and styleappropriate for the children who are at the age of 10-12 ? b)When we think of the Muzaffer ?zgü?s novels which are studied carefully, can they be recommeded to the children who are at the age of 10-12 ? While trying to find an answer to these questions, in the ligth of informations about child literature which are obtained with literature studying, from the Muzaffer ?zgü?s published 32(thirty-two) chil novels which are on the centre of the researching, 12 (twelve) novels which contain different themes have been taken as an example. Novels have been read critically on the point of theme, pedagogical and style, they have been prepared an index card for, and quoted from them. Obtained data, which have been brought together with the new classification, have been analyzed in the related parts. Also, there have been made an interview with an author and various kinds of questions have been asked about his perceptiveness an being an author and his literature Works then his answers have been evaluated. At the end of the studying in this frame, novels which have been studied these findings have been obtained about theme, pedagogical and style. - Theme and educational messages, which have been examined in the 12(twelve) novels have been taken into account in the investigation, would have a positive effect on behaviourchanging on the children who are at the age of 10-12 also it was noted that they have contributed to the children?s characteristic development and they had a educational value. In the point of language which are used in novels; - By taking into account to use only Turkish words using words which haven?t been used in Standard language. - Using words frequently which are belong to the local language. - Using slang words a little. - Not using foreing words without obliged to use them. - Using sensory words frequently. - Most of sentences are regular, verb ended sentences. - Including enough idioms. - Using a lot of assonant doublets. With the help of these findings, except the problems about the words choice of novels,it has been concluded that the style of novel are appropriate for rhe children who are at the age of 10-12.
