The effect of experience quality level of tourists visiting museums on revisit intention: The example of Tokat City Museum

The purpose of this research is, determine the effect of the level of experience quality on the revisit intentions of Tokat City Museum visitors. In accordance with this purpose, the revelant literature examined so a model created and research hypotheses were developed. Domestic tourists who visits the museum between January and June is the target population of this research. Convenience sampling method is preferred for the participants. Data collected from the 405 domestic Tokat City Museum tourists using survey form. Frequency distribution, normal distribution test, factor analysis, arithmetic averages, ANOVA, correlation and regression tests were used to analyze the data. Results of the analyzes shows that the experience quality level positively effects the revisit intention which is the main question of the study. In the research, the differences between the demographic characteristics of the visitors, the level of experience quality and revisit intention were examined, and it was concluded that the level of experience quality was high in people between the age groups of 51-60. No other differences were found between the other demographic characteristics of the participants and the scales.
