The relationship between self-efficacy perceptions and performance anxiety of music education department voice students

The aim of this study was to determine the performance anxiety levels and self-efficacy perception levels of the music education department students and to address the relationship between them. For this purpose, Kenny Performance Anxiety Inventory and Individual Voice Education Lesson Self-Efficacy Scale developed by Cansu Koçer were applied to teacher candidates. In this study, which was carried out in a descriptive framework, a relational survey model was used to determine the relationship between the self-efficacy perceptions of singing performance anxiety and performance anxiety of music education department singing students who are music teacher candidates. The universe of the research consists of students whose individual instrument is singing in Music Education Departments of Education Faculties of Adim Universities. The total number of students participating in the research is 40. The researcher used the questionnaire technique to be applied to the singing students over the internet (online), which was started to be used in the Covid-19 period. Considering the results of the research, no significant difference was observed depending on the gender and class variance. In addition, there was a significant difference between the graduated high school type variable and the self-efficacy perception level. Based on these results, recommendations were made.
