Investigation in terms of various variables of auditory and visual images of performance videos on youtube platform that can be used in music culture lessons

This research was carried out to assist the creation of digital resources for music history and music culture education courses from music departments of universities. It is a research aimed at providing a perceptual diversity on visual and auditory images in the education-teaching environment, in parallel with the curriculum content carried out in undergraduate courses, carried out in the light of theoretical knowledge in the course systems, along with the developing technology. The sample of the research consists of 30 videos that can be used in music culture lessons. The studies carried out in the research were obtained through Youtube channels, which have universal validity. Data collection techniques were applied using link and QR code applications, and the analysis of the data was tabulated and interpreted according to music history periods. Content analysis technique was applied to the analysis of the data. In content analysis, it is examined the content of the data obtained from the tables; period, composer, orchestra group, country, city, place, form feature of the piece, genre, orchestral instruments, velocity terms, measure structure, microphone types, video image and shooting angles variables. As a result of the research; the period, genre, tone and speed terms of the parts of the piece, the nuances in the piece, the type of the orchestra performing the piece in the video, the conductor and the soloists, the place and name of the place they performed were determined, the shooting angles of the place where the shooting was done and the microphone types used were also concluded. As a result of the research, it suggested that music can be used in which the periods can be considered as different, universal, cultural, historical and ethnic, and the content and imaginary structures can be expanded by including the music genres of different periods, the works of other composers living in the same period.
