Abstract (EN)

Technology become widespread in time and by showing progress constantly, it has modernized itself in every area. People make use of this technology in areas like making music, learning and teaching process by keeping up with this innovation. Aim of this study is to analyze the effects of virtual auditory place that is improved within music technology on students intonation awareness and make an evaluation about the process. In this research, "Mixed Method" is used. Research's quantitative dimension is formed by implementing "intonation awareness on instrument education scale to that are appointed to 30 participant, who are 15 experiment, 15 control groups by using the experimental design "pretest/final test control group". By making use of the music technology, Participants who take part in experiment group are provided to feel as if they play in İstanbul Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall in terms of acoustic performance. Focus interview that is made by asking questions about this experience to the participants of the experimental group is forms the research's qualitative dimension. As a result of the data that is achieved from this research, the effects of students who play string instruments is not determined. However, interviews with the candidates of music teachers show that technology of virtual auditory place can provide new opportunity, and even if this technology is a bit ineffective of producing intonation; awareness, motivation, self sufficiency and ranking cognitive strategy can go up to the surface by looking the excitement and desire of the participantus and making new studies.
