Abstract (EN)
Uterine myomas are the most frequently seen tumors of female reproductive system. Therefore, We come across as one of the most important factors that cause morbidity in women in clinic. Every year, Many patients are trying to be treated and lots of methods are tried but surgical treatment is applied in many patients. Myomas are mainly confronted with vaginal bleeding, infertility, pelvic pain, pelvic pressure in women. Asymptomatic myoma is present in a large majority of women who do not have these symptoms. Myomas usually grow with hormonal effects. Myomas are particularly effected by the estrogen secretion. For this reason, Myomas grow and give symptoms during pregnancy and reproductive age. Although the myomas are affected by many hormonal stimuli, the exact mechanisms of formation are not clear. It is observed in recent studies that myoma formation is founded without any effects of these hormones, also influenced by many factors. Many risk factors have been identified in myomas. These are mainly; fertility trait, diet, race, menstrual story, weight gain, hormone therapy, smoking. physical activity, family story, tube ligation story, hypertension. Many studies have been carried out in myomas in the genetic background but a major gene has not been blamed. In this case, We are thinking of a multicultural etiology. The myomas are confronted in many ways according to their settlements. In addition, in the symptoms seen in myomas, the location can be confronted in many different ways according to their size. Myomas can be seen as fibroids originating from the vagina and parasitic myomas settled outside uterus, even seen intravenously in vein. The recognition of the myomas can be done very quickly in these days. The most important diagnostic tool is TVUSG. When many different methods are used in the diagnosis of myomas, TVUSG is the most common and fastest diagnostic method. Although medical treatment can be applied in the treatments of myomas, the main treatment in patients is surgical treatment. The most commonly used surgical treatment for these patients is total hysterectomy, whereas myomectomy is a feasible treatment in patients who do not want to have a uterus removed. In our study, we try to explain the mechanisms of myoma formation. We investigate the focal med12 Exon 2 mutation and microRNA-124 expression differences in patients with hysterectomized myomas from patients with their normal myometrium tissues and from paraffin blocks of their own myomas of patients. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the effect of focal changes in the genetic structure of the patient on the formation, location and number of myomas.
