Özet (EN)

In recent years, heterocyclic Schiff bases containing NS and NSO donor atoms and their 3d metal complexes have attracted considerable attention due to their remarkable antifungal, antibacterial, and antitumor activities. Studies on coordination compounds with Schiff bases ligands most commonly used is the result of reactions of primary amines, aldehydes and ketones. The number of donor atoms, combined with Schiff bases are very few studies of metal atoms. In this study, the output material, N-aminopyrimidine-2-thione information in literature, based on this compound is synthesized, and various organic solvents, environments and the reaction of 2-furfural intended for the synthesis of new Schiff bases were synthesized. The ligand synthesized, the Cu (II), Co (II), Ni (II),Pt (IV) complexes of metals such as acetate salts were synthesized by using the Schiff base. Structures of the ligand and its complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, spectral analyzes, such as, UV-Vis, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, MS, FT-IR. and also by molar conductivity measurements, magnetic moment measurements and thermogravimetric analyses. The complexes of Cu (II) and Pt(IV) are proposed to have an octahedral structure. The complex of Co(II) is proposed to have a tetrahedral structure. The complex of Ni(II) is proposed to have a trigonal bipyramide structure.Key Words: Synthesis, N-aminopyrimidine-2-thione, Schiff bases, metal complexes, 2-Furfural.
