Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, in Na0.67Mn0.5Fe0.5O2 sodium ion batteries, copper (Cu) doping is made in the cathode material, and its physical properties, electrochemical properties and structure of the battery have been investigated. The abundance of sodium has a reduced cost in making sodium-ion batteries and a physical and chemical structure similar to lithium. Na0.67Mn0.5Fe0.5O2, Na0.67Mn0.45Fe0.45O2, Na0.67Mn0.4Fe0.4O2, Na0.67Mn0.3Fe0.3O2, Na0.67Mn0.2Fe0.2O2 by adding Copper (Cu) to the cathode material cathode material was obtained by throwing it into liquid nitrogen at high temperature. CR2032 coin cells were produced and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), FTIR spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry (CV), infrared thermal measurements, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) measurements. In the obtained cathodes, Na0.67Fe0.5Mn0.5O2, Na0.67Mn0.45Fe0.45O2, Na0.67Mn0.4Fe0.4O2, it was observed that no impurity phase was formed in the copper doping of the samples. However, if Na0.67Mn0.3Fe0.3O2, Na0.67Mn0.2Fe0.2O2, it is seen that impurity phases Na10Fe16O29 and NaCuO are formed in x≥0.2 structure. When Copper (Cu) doping is made to Na0.67Mn0.5Fe0.5O2 cathode material, the decrease in capacity losses brought one step closer to the commercialization of such cathode materials.
