Effect of nano-fertilizer and Ascophyllum nodosum extract in physiological characteristics and essential oil content of Coriandrum sativum L.

This study was carried out to test the effects of fertilization applications with nano fertilizer and seaweed extract and the interaction between them on the vegetative properties, mineral elements, and essential oils of the coriander plant Coriandrum sativum in the 2021-2022 agricultural season. The study was carried out in the Qadisiyah Governorate of Iraq, and the nano-fertilizer extracts applied were at concentrations of 0.5 and 1 g/L. The algae are enriched with two concentrations of 2 and 4 mL/L. Only pure water was used as a control factor. The application was made in two stages if it was applied to the plant a second time one month after the first spraying. When the results of the study were examined, it was revealed that besides the vegetative properties, mineral elements and essential oils showed a significant and clear increase in the growth rates, and the highest increase was in the plants treated with 4 mL/L Ascophyllum nodosum extract and 1 g/L nano fertilizer concentrations. This showed the net effect of nano-fertilizer and Ascophyllum nodosum extract and the interaction between them on the vegetative properties, mineral elements, and percentages of essential oils of coriander plants.
