Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, freeze-thaw durability and photocatalytic properties of basalt fiber reinforced ground granulated blast furnace slag-based geopolymer mortars containing nano titanium dioxide (TiO2) were investigated. Nano titanium dioxide (TiO2) and basalt fiber were used at rates of 0%, 0.25%, 0.5%, and 1% in geopolymer mixtures. This thesis used the Rhodamine-B test to determine the photocatalytic property (self-cleaning) of geopolymer mortars. The freeze-thaw test of the produced geopolymer mortar samples was carried out according to the TS EN 15177 standard. Compressive strength, flexural strength, ultrasonic pulse velocity, capillary water absorption, Rhodamine-B, and weight losses of the geopolymer mortar samples were determined. As a result of this thesis, ultrasonic pulse velocity, compressive strength, and flexural strength values increased as nano TiO2, and basalt fiber increased in geopolymer mortar samples exposed to freeze-thaw. There were decreases in capillary water absorption and weight loss values. In addition, it was found that as the nano TiO2 ratio in the mortar samples increased, the self-cleaning property of the sample increased.
