Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, PbS quantum dot of different sizes were synthesized and analyses were performed. For these synthesized PbS quantum dots, size, FTIR, UV-Vis-NIR, PL spectra were shown. The reason for the strange fluoresence spectrum of PbS quantum dot was tried to be explained. From the synthesized quantum dots, a solar cell was made with a quantum dot of size approximately 4.7 nm. Before the solar cell was made, it was shown that their size was stable with using TEM for the PBS14. In addition XRD SAXS, DLS analysis were performed to support PbS14 was stable in size. The molecule called oleic acid, which covers the surface of the PbS quantum dot was removed from the quantum dot surface using different types of sulfur-containing molecules. The computational studies of the different type sulfur-containing molecules used for the surface exchange were performed with Gaussian 09 program. I-V, IPCE and IMVS measurements of the solar cells made with PbS14 quantum dot were done. Accordingly, the relationship between PbS14+EDT, PbS14+B13D, PbS14+B14D and PbS14+B44D efficiencies in solar cells were tried to be explained.
